Lean In Michigan Hosting First Live Event in LansingBased on Sheryl Sandberg’s book Lean In, Lean In Michigan is a community of professionals empowering women to build purposeful and fulfilling careers.
There are over 26,000 Lean In Circles in 136 countries, Lean In Michigan is a chapter of 14 circles from across the state working together to support and promote women’s leadership. They will be hosting their first live event April 30, 2016 in Lansing. You do not need to be a Lean In member to attend and the event is open to the public, both men and women, with a focus on moving more women into professional, leadership roles.
The event will feature targeted conversations on group dynamics, ethics in the workplace, emotional intelligence, stress management, salary negotiation, and more. The event will also provide an opportunity for businesses and motivated individuals to discover how to launch their own Lean In Circles.
This event also includes opportunities for individuals to boost their professional image. Attendees can get a professional headshot, visit with the MSU Writing Center about polishing their resume and cover letter at any stage of their career, and of course network with driven and supportive professionals.
