LANSING, MI – The 22nd Annual Entrepreneurial Awards of Greater Lansing were presented Thursday evening, March 3 at the Eagle Eye Golf Club to five worthy recipients. Tiffany Dowling, publisher of the Greater Lansing Business Monthly (GLBM) and president and CEO of M3 Group, and April Clobes, president and CEO at MSU Federal Credit Union, co-hosted the event before nearly 300 attendees.
“Small businesses significantly impact Michigan – and greater Lansing’s economy. Entrepreneurs create jobs, inspire fresh ideas and keep us moving forward. Tonight we celebrate these passionate, persistent, hardworking individuals and congratulate them on their amazing success,” said Dowling.
The guest speaker for the evening was Timothy Suprise, founder and president of Arcadia Brewing Company in Battle Creek, Mich. and Kalamazoo Riverfront Brewery, Pub & Kitchen in Kalamazoo, Mich. Suprise shared his inspiring story of entrepreneurial success.
Recognized for their hard work, determination and their ability to take risks, category winners included: Jeffrey McWherter of Gravity Works Design, who received the Emerging Entrepreneur Award; Kellie Murphy of Kellie’s Consignments won the Entrepreneurial Spirit Award; and Keith Granger of Granger received the Socially Responsible Entrepreneur Award.
