Mason Public Schools Foundation Accepts Grants from Dart Energy Foundation and Dart Foundation

The Mason Public Schools Foundation (MPSF) is pleased to announce the recent acceptance of two grants. The Dart Energy Foundation, Inc. donated $10,000 and the Dart Foundation donated $5,000 to the MPSF.

The MPSF board voted to allocate the full $15,000 to the Mason Public School District to establish a special science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) program at the elementary school level.

The elementary STEM program will be open to Mason students in grades 3-5 with the goal of engaging them in meaningful investigations of scientific problems more often and at an earlier age. The free program will be held once per month for two hours after school at the new laboratories at Mason High School. Approximately 100 students will be able to participate in hands-on, project-based science activities.
