DEWPOINT NAMED ONE OF MICHIGAN’S COOL PLACES TO WORK BY CRAIN’S
Each year, Crain’s Detroit Business honors businesses that go above and beyond to enhance workplace culture. This year Dewpoint, a technology consulting firm in Lansing, has been named among Crain’s annual list of Michigan’s top 100 “Cool Places to Work.”
Dewpoint, which was founded in 1996, has been named as one of the “Cool Places to Work” every year Crain’s has compiled the awards, which are based on employee input.
Crain’s singled out several specific areas that helped Dewpoint earn the ranking this year. Areas included were the DewGood program, which allows each employee annual paid time off to serve charitable causes and up to $150 to donate to a charity of their choice; after-work social events including the annual Rock the Block party and Dew Drop Ins; and a formal mentoring program allowing employees to explore other areas within the company.
In 2018, Dewpoint raised funding for the Lansing Promise Foundation, hosted a 2020 Girls event at its headquarters to promote STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts and math) education and youth engagement, and supported the programs and services of Ele’s Place for children and teens dealing with grief.
“This award not only honors the principles and standards Dewpoint strives to achieve in its guiding mission, but it also reflects the character and integrity of our valued workforce as well as our work hard/play hard attitude,” said Pat Vondette, Dewpoint’s chief operating officer. “Our goal is to be responsible and accountable to our clients, our colleagues and co-workers, and the larger community.”
